- inspire and motivate young scholars!
Why do school and library visits matter?
Author and illustrator visits are a powerful catalyst for igniting creativity and excitement for learning. Good visits help you achieve your curriculum goals.
During a school or library visit, students personally connect with literature and the real people and real processes behind its creation.
Books, authors, and stories become vibrant, relatable experiences. Author and illustrator presentations bridge existing knowledge with new ideas and cultivate a lifelong love of reading and writing. Bringing working authors and illustrators into the educational environment can be a springboard for achieving language arts, STEAM and SEL curriculum goals and standards.
When authors and illustrators share their journeys and the diverse worlds they create, they not only entertain but also empower young minds to see themselves as potential storytellers and sharers of knowledge. This fosters an environment where students feel encouraged to explore their own narratives and aspirations. Furthermore, school and library visits demystify the process of writing and making art and legitimizes these fields for future employment.
